Hexham Abbey Festival is delighted to welcome the return of these fantastic young singers who performed to a packed audience at the 2022 Festival. APOLLO5 are rarely in one place for long – recent tours have taken them to Europe, America and Asia. In this year’s programme, The Crossing, they’ll take us on a choral journey along the pilgrim way from Canterbury to Rome, pausing en route for glorious music from all over Europe. Alongside favourites by Tallis, Vaughan Williams, Saint-Saëns, Lassus and Palestrina, they’ll also be performing their signature arrangements of folk songs and exciting new commissions.
APOLLO5 have been acclaimed for their ‘wonderful voices‘ [BBC Radio 3] and
‘exceptionally beautiful singing‘ [Classic FM]. Don’t miss this evening of radiant and transporting music in a beautiful candlelit setting.
